Magazine-style creative portraits for Rosie | Bath editorial photographer
Editorial photography at our Bath photography studio
This shoot for Rosie was done as part of my submission for this year's Taylor Wessing Prize at London's National Portrait Gallery. Rosie is a former student of mine, now a City marketing executive in London. This shoot features images in a contemporary magazine style - the kind of thing you might see in Vanity Fair. We produced pictures with an editorial and fashion feel, and Rosie was a very good (and bendy) poser. There are two colour palettes in the shoot, and the monochrome feel of both sets of images was offset by Rosie's bright red lipstick! We used some of the vintage and antique furniture/props which are a permanent feature at our photography studio just outside Bath: this coordinated well with Rosie's choice of wardrobe. The images are lit in a similar style to one of my photographic heroes: Annie Leibovitz.
