Business and creative portraits for Susannah | Bath business photographer
Modern women's portraits at our Bath studio
Susannah is a very talented person: she works at London's Royal Society, where she researches artificial intelligence. Susannah's portraits are part of a series I'm shooting for this year's Taylor Wessing Prize at the National Portrait Gallery. I'm entering a series of images called 'Kids I Once Taught'. The subjects of the images are former students from my teaching days: I have chosen people who work in a range of diverse and interesting careers and the series is, in some ways, a meditation on the concept of the traditional school photo. Almost everyone hates their school pictures: the process is usually a shoot that lasts about 15 seconds and the results can be very mixed, to say the least! Each of the shoots for this series has (I hope) been the opposite of this, and the aim has been to produce images which reflect the potential and achievements of young people.
