Studio Photography for a Classical Singer

We recently worked with Rachel Nicholls, one of the UK's leading dramatic sopranos, to produce a series of publicity and personal branding photographs for her. This was the first session we'd had at our new photography studio in Corsham. Those of you who know me personally know that my background is in classical music, and it's such a pleasure to work with people with whom I have that in common.

Rachel is a Wagner specialist, working around the world performing the operatic works of the great German composer. Her concert work frequently takes her to Japan, Germany, Norway and Lithuania, and Rachel is in demand as a recording artist especially in Japan and the UK.

We used three looks for Rachel's session and used a number of different lighting setups so that she had lots of variety in the final images. Rachel can now use these for her website (which we also designed), and also to illustrate the programme books of the opera houses in which she performs.
