Watlington Hill National Trust | Bath family photographer

Oxfordshire Portrait Photography

For our first shoot since returning to the UK, we spent the day at Watlington Hill National Trust, in Oxfordshire. Watlington is a small town near Oxford - the real jewel in its crown is its proximity to this beautiful National Trust site, in the Chiltern Hills. Unlike most other National Trust locations, there is no castle or stately home here: it is protected countryside with incredible views and some interesting wildlife. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy the abundance of Red Kites that you can see here.

This was a quick 30-minute shoot with 11-year-old Hermione - you will see a few other pictures of her dotted around the site, and I have the honour to be her father! It was a lovely sunny and windy day up on the hill. Enjoy the photographs, and do visit Watlington Hill if you have the opportunity - it is a wonderful and unspoilt part of the English countryside.
